GPA, our most economical sheet, is the choice to make when the cost of materials and labor is the primary consideration. GPA is available in clear, translucent, transparent and several metallics. It is available in widths up to 110 inches. GPA can be formed, decorated, cemented and cut to any shape or size. With superior product and thermoforming properties, vast color selection and size availability, Aristech GPA offers exceptional design freedom at an economical price.

 

GPA can be cold formed at room temperatures to yield generous curved surfaces with consistency. For applications requiring smaller curvatures or unusual shapes, it can be thermoformed by heating to approximately 360 degrees Fahrenheit and then drawn into the desired shape by vacuum or air pressure.

  

WEATHER RESISTANCE:

Outstanding weather resistance properties have made Aristech GPA sheet the product of choice in outdoor signs for more than 30 years. GPA sheet can withstand temperatures up to 190 degrees Fahrenheit with little of no effect on product properties. Higher temperatures can be tolerated for short periods of time without permanent damage. GPA sheets remain serviceable at extremely low temperatures (-30 degrees Fahrenheit).

 

IMPACT RESISTANCE:

Aristech's GPA has impact (or breakage) resistance that is many times greater than glass of equivalent thickness.

 

OPTICAL CLARITY:

Clear GPA sheet has clarity equal to or better than ordinary glass. GPA has approximately 93 percent light transmittance compared to 88 percent for ordinary glass of the same thickness.

 

INSULATING VALUES:

The overall coefficient of heat transmission (U factor) of GPA is 1.04 compared to 1.25 for glass. This means that GPA insulates approximately 20 percent better than ordinary glass of the same thickness.

 

AVAILABILITY:

Aristech GPA and Metallic sheets can be supplied in sheets cut to your specifications or on reels with the length limited only by the practicality of handling and shipping. Widths range from 24 inches to 110 inches. Thickness ranges from 0.100 inch to 0.500 inch with single or double sided polyfilm or paper masking. Metallic acrylic sheet is available in standard widths of 51 inches and 75 inches and in thickness of 0.118 inch and 0.177 inch.
